The Imperator pattern was inspired by a model decorated with gold highlights discovered in the Haviland archives in 1956.The design is composed of a frieze of garlands and acanthus leaves framing a pearly canopy, from which pearl garlands emerge. This frieze is surrounded by two Greek bands. The inner border contains a fine frieze of gilt foliage, engraved in gold in the Limoges tradition.
